Helikon-Tex MBDU NyCo Ripstop Trousers MultiCam Black

The Helikon-Tex MBDU trousers are field trousers in NyCo Ripstop fabric — a nylon-cotton blend with a tear-resistant weave — offered in the MultiCam Black pattern. The roomy, shaped cut is designed for those wearing a full tactical loadout: duty belt, holster, magazine carriers.

The waistband closes with velcro and the belt loops accept belts up to 45 mm wide — broad enough to accommodate systems with holsters or quick-release attachments without the trousers twisting. Reinforcements on the side pockets protect the fabric from abrasion caused by knife clip hardware, a detail that on a pair of trousers in daily use makes the difference between six months and two years of service life. The VersaStretch gusset at the crotch and rear allows deep squats and wide movements without the main fabric stretching or tearing: the trade-off is that VersaStretch breathes less than NyCo in the more ventilated areas, but gains freedom of movement where it actually matters.

The knees are shaped and reinforced to accept internal pads: these are not just double stitching, but structured pockets that keep the pad in place even after hours of movement. The thigh cargo pockets close with snap buttons, a quieter solution than a zip and more secure than velcro alone under load. On the calf, more compact pockets with velcro closure allow quick-access items — tourniquet, bandage — to be carried without cluttering the thigh. The leg openings cinch via drawcord with a cord lock, compatible with boots and combat gaiters. Zips are YKK.
