The Magpul M-LOK Rail Section Polymer with 9 slots is a reinforced polymer Picatinny rail section designed to add mounting positions to any handguard or forend with an M-LOK system. It allows you to mount tactical lights, lasers, vertical grips, or any Picatinny/MIL-STD-1913 accessory at points on the rifle that would otherwise offer no attachment options.
The injection-moulded composite polymer keeps added weight to a minimum. Where a machined aluminium section offers greater resistance to hard impacts, this solution reduces the weight added to the handguard — a real advantage on already-balanced builds or on rifles carried for extended periods. The trade-off is straightforward: for heavy-duty use or on high-recoil calibres, a metal rail remains the more conservative choice; for lightweight-module rifles, sport shooting, and builds where every gram matters, the polymer version is the right answer.
Attachment uses the native M-LOK system: bolts pass through the longitudinal slots of the handguard and are secured with T-nut hardware, providing a stable, lateral-play-free mount. The resulting 9 Picatinny slots give plenty of positioning options for accessories across a useful length of the forend.
Key Points
- 9 Picatinny slots add mounting positions where the M-LOK handguard provides none, without replacing the entire forend.
- Reinforced polymer keeps added weight low — well suited to builds where balance takes priority over maximum impact resistance.
- Compatible with any open-standard M-LOK surface: fits handguards from different manufacturers without adapters.
- Made by Magpul, the company that developed and popularised the M-LOK standard: slot geometry and fixing seat dimensions are the reference for third-party accessory compatibility.
