MFH 3x3 m Shelter Tarp — vz.95

Multipurpose waterproof tarp in 190T polyester with polyurethane coating, 300x300 cm in size and weighing 550 g. Designed for anyone who needs to set up a quick temporary shelter in the field, stay dry during a hide, or cover gear without adding meaningful weight to their pack.

A hydrostatic head of 1500 mm is enough to handle moderate rain and condensation; the PU coating seals the weave of the 190T polyester and prevents water from soaking through over time. This is not an alpine tarp built for extreme conditions, but for seasonal use — hunting, extended observation, operational bivouac — it delivers a protection-to-weight ratio that is hard to match at this weight class.

Perimeter metal grommets let you tension the tarp between trees, branches or stakes using a running line, adapting the setup to the terrain. The stuff sack compresses the tarp to a compact volume that fits the side pockets of most field packs. The trade-off to keep in mind is that at 550 g this tarp provides no thermal insulation: it blocks rain and wind, but retains no heat — in cold conditions it needs to be paired with an insulating layer.
