The integrated chronograph function is what sets this unit apart from a standard tracer: every BB passing through the body of the unit is detected and its velocity is displayed directly on the device. This allows field verification that the replica stays within the limits set by the rules of play, without relying on fixed chronograph stations. The reading is available shot by shot, which is also useful for assessing the consistency of the hop-up output between rounds.

The tracer function works with tracer BBs loaded with photoluminescent pigment: the unit briefly exposes them to UV light as they pass through, and the BB emits light for the next several metres beyond the muzzle. The effect is visible in low-light conditions and allows the trajectory to be followed. It should be noted that the result depends on the quality of the tracer BBs used and on how dark the environment is: in full daylight the luminous effect is not perceptible.
