BAOFENG UV-5R Li-Ion 2800 mAh Battery with USB-C Charging

Li-Ion replacement battery, 2800 mAh, for the BAOFENG UV-5R, UV-5R Military, UV-5RA, UV-5RE and UV-5R 8W airsoft radios. It clips in place of the original battery with no tools required.

What sets this battery apart from the standard one is the USB-C connector: it lets you charge directly from a power bank in the field, without hunting for a mains socket or a dedicated charger. The higher capacity does come with a trade-off: the battery is approximately 3 mm thicker than the original. A radio fitted with this battery may not fit into radio pouches that are cut closely around the standard UV-5R profile. Worth checking before an event if you use a tight-fitting pouch.
