Chest rig Helikon-Tex Training Mini Rig — RAL 7013

The Training Mini Rig (TMR) is a low-profile chest rig developed by Helikon-Tex for sport shooters, shooting instructors and operators who need a lightweight, symmetrical load-bearing solution without ballistic plates. The design was shaped through direct input from shooting instructors, with an emphasis on compactness and fast access to the most frequently used kit.

The TMR handles magazines across three dedicated positions: two side pockets compatible with AR15 and AK magazines, plus a central insert that holds another two AR15/AK magazines. Alongside these sit four smaller pockets for pistol magazines, multitools or torches. This layout lets you carry a meaningful volume of ammunition up front without widening the lateral profile of the rig — a relevant consideration when shooting prone or moving through structures. The trade-off compared to a plate carrier is the absence of ballistic protection: the TMR is built for training sessions, dynamic shooting competitions and situations where system weight is a constraint, not for use with plates.

The main pocket includes an internal organiser and a zippered mesh pocket with a YKK zipper to keep small items separate. The zippered abdominal pocket (Dangler-style) on the lower section is sized for an IFAK or immediate-action medical kit. Three hook-and-loop panels on the front panel and rear pockets allow identification patches or functional panels to be attached. The H-harness shoulder straps are adjustable and removable, and the securing waistband is also adjustable in length.
