The Guardian Chest Rig is a front-carry platform designed to distribute a basic load of ammunition and personal kit without adding weight to the back or belt. Built to work alongside a pack and a belt kit, it optimises weight distribution without duplicating functions already handled by other systems.

The core of the system is three front pockets, each with a dual compartment and a height-adjustable retention flap: the same geometry accommodates AR or AK magazines, and the interchangeable inserts — single, double, and double pistol — can be reconfigured without tools to match the number and size of magazines being carried. This means the rig adapts to a change of weapon platform or mission without requiring a different system, though it does take a few minutes of preparation beforehand: it is not a system where immediate extraction is independent of how the inserts are set up. Each pocket features a MOLLE/PALS surface, allowing accessory pouches to be mounted directly onto the main pockets and multiplying configuration options without altering the rig itself.

The two side cargo pockets, compatible with the standard USGI canteen, add volume for support items. The lower MOLLE/PALS panel accepts additional pouches or accessories, while the loops on the harness straps allow cables, antennas and a hydration tube to be routed neatly without improvised cable ties. The X-harness is universal, quick-release and adjustable: the X geometry distributes weight across the shoulders more evenly than a V-harness, and the quick-release system allows the entire rig to be removed in an emergency without unfastening every individual buckle.
