The FMA Yunlin Dual Layer Memory Foam is a replacement padding kit for high-cut helmets — including FAST, MICH 2001/2002, EXFIL, AirFrame and TW — consisting of 10 shaped pads (9 distinct shapes plus 1) designed for users who wear a helmet for extended periods and cannot afford discomfort or pressure points. Total kit weight is 150 g.

The dual-layer construction is what matters here: the layer in contact with the skull is a slow-recovery soft foam that conforms to the shape of the head, distributing load evenly rather than concentrating it on bony prominences. The outer layer in breathable mesh handles moisture and promotes airflow, while the inner flannel lining increases pad stability within its seat and reduces movement during physical activity. The trade-off to keep in mind is that the flannel, while improving grip, retains more heat than a fully mesh surface: in high-temperature conditions or under intense exertion, ventilation is partially limited by the contact layer.

The pads are compatible with the Wendy FIT suspension system and with major tactical hearing protection — including Peltor and MSA — without requiring modifications or partial removal of the padding when earmuffs are worn. The individual shaping of each pad allows the user to arrange the interior layout according to their own head shape, unlike single-panel systems that offer no zonal adjustment.
