FMA Rattler Compact II Hands-Free Torch — Tan

The Rattler Compact II is a compact, hands-free torch made by FMA from nylon polymer, designed for operators, hunters and outdoor users who need a versatile, lightweight light source. At 77x48.3x28 mm and 57.5 g, it carries without making itself known, whether clipped to gear or worn on the head.

Four LED modes — white (6 to 65 lm), red (0.4 W), blue (0.1 W) and IR (15 mW) — cover very different scenarios: white is enough for navigation and map reading, red preserves dark adaptation without affecting peripheral vision, blue aids identification, and IR works with night vision devices. Each mode offers four brightness levels and a strobe function. The dual switch operates reliably with gloves on, without having to hunt for the button.

Compatibility with both CR123A and AA batteries is a real practical advantage in the field: no dependency on a proprietary format that may be hard to find. At full power, runtime reaches 5 hours; at low power, it extends to 60 hours. IP67 protection ensures a watertight seal against temporary immersion, while the nylon polymer body absorbs impacts without adding weight. The rotating clip allows direct attachment to MOLLE webbing; the included elastic headband converts the torch into a headlamp, useful when both hands are needed and a MOLLE attachment point is not available. The clip is oriented towards head use or MOLLE bottle holders: on smooth surfaces or narrow belts, retention is less secure than a dedicated quick-release system.
