The FMA FARA OTH is a universal adapter that lets you mount tactical headsets on ARC rail-equipped helmets, removing the need to swap mounts every time you change headgear or headset model. The kit weighs 10 g and is aimed at operators, shooters, and hunters who use active hearing protection with a helmet.
Compatibility covers a wide range of headsets common in professional use: the Peltor COMTAC series (C1, C2, C3, C4), the Liberator series (I, II, III), and MSA Sordin. This means the same adapter stays with the operator across headset changes without needing a dedicated kit for each model, keeping overall system weight and component count down.
The joint allows 90° of rotation forward and rearward from the wearing position. This range lets you lower the headset onto the neck or swing it off the ear without removing it from the helmet — a quick, one-handed movement. The ARC rail attachment is designed to avoid uncomfortable pressure on the head even during extended wear, where a stiff, poorly positioned interface becomes a fatigue factor over time. The nylon construction keeps weight to a minimum at the cost of metal-level durability: a trade-off that works well for daily comfort but is worth considering in environments with repeated mechanical impact.
