The FMA EXFIL Headset and Helmet Rail Adapter Set GEN1 is a mounting kit designed to integrate Peltor Comtac I and II tactical headsets — and their replicas — directly onto the side rail of EXFIL-series helmets, eliminating the rigid metal headband that spans the helmet shell. The result is a lower profile, a more stable fit, and the ability to don or doff the helmet without detaching the headset each time.

The mounting system uses two knurled thumb screws that tighten by hand: no tools required, and headset position remains adjustable even while wearing the helmet. The retention nut slides inside the helmet rail channel, distributing the load along the rail rather than concentrating it at a single point. This allows the adapter to be slid along the rail until the ideal alignment with the ear is found, regardless of helmet size or the operator's head shape.

The adapter has two distinct positions — open and closed — allowing the headset cups to be lowered over the ears or swung up laterally in seconds, without removing them from the helmet. The integrated cable management channel lets you route wiring inside or outside the helmet shell depending on your setup. The package includes two boom microphone adapters, making the entire system operational without additional components. The kit is compatible with the GEN1 version of the EXFIL series; for MSA headsets the GEN2 variant is available, which is not interchangeable with this model.
