The Fenix ARE-D2 is a compact, lightweight two-slot USB charger (123x62x30 mm, 92 g) designed for anyone who carries rechargeable batteries in the field: tactical flashlights, communication devices, sensors. It supports Li-ion and NiMH/NiCd chemistries in different formats per slot, with no adapters required.

The two slots operate completely independently: you can charge an 18650 and an AA at the same time without the currents affecting each other. Slot A runs at 500 mA or 1000 mA; Slot B adds a 2000 mA option, useful when time is short and the cell can handle it. The LCD display shows voltage, chemistry type and charge percentage in real time — practical information for anyone managing multiple cells who needs to know at a glance what is going on.

The power bank function — available with Li-ion cells — delivers 5 V / 1 A via USB and lets you charge a smartphone or GPS when no mains outlet is available. It should be treated as an emergency output for low-priority devices, not a fast-charging system: the 1 A output is enough to keep a phone alive, not to bring it to 100 % quickly. In return, the device needs nothing more than a Micro-USB cable and a charged cell.
