FENIX SW05R-UV Torch — Green

The Fenix SW05R-UV is a rechargeable EDC torch with dual output — white light and UV at 365 nm — housed in a CNC-machined aluminium body just a few centimetres long. The head rotates up to 200° and the integrated magnetic base make it well suited to technical inspections, document verification and everyday carry whenever both lighting modes are needed in a single tool.

The white light reaches 150 lumens with a beam that carries up to 39 metres, enough to navigate and work in dark environments. The UV output emits at 365 nm with a power of 1500 mW: wavelength and power are the two parameters that determine real-world effectiveness — at 365 nm fluorescence is markedly stronger than with common 395 nm UV LEDs, and the 1500 mW deliver a visible response even on non-ideal surfaces. Three white-light brightness levels let you balance runtime against intensity as the situation demands.

The built-in 700 mAh battery charges via USB-C, and the torch remains operational during charging without any interruption to use. Here is the trade-off worth knowing: the magnetic base and clip provide quick, hands-free attachment — ideal for holding the light against a metal surface or a piece of equipment — but they are not a substitute for a dedicated mount when the torch must stay firmly in place under vibration or recoil. IPX6 protection ensures resistance to water jets and heavy rain, without certifying submersion.
