Baofeng SRJ-F40A Dualband SMA-F 40 cm Antenna

The SRJ-F40A is a flexible Baofeng antenna designed for handheld radios with a reverse SMA female connector, covering the 144 MHz and 430 MHz bands with a gain of 2.15 dBi and a maximum power handling of 10 W. At 40.5 cm it is longer than the stock antenna, but remains flexible and foldable, making it well suited for airsoft and field communications use.

The 2.15 dBi gain on both bands improves reception and transmission compared to the short stock antenna supplied with most Baofeng radios. The extra length translates into a more stable signal at distance, provided you are willing to accept that the antenna will protrude further when the radio is clipped to a pocket or vest. Those working in confined spaces or wanting a lower profile can fold it down, though at some cost to performance: the trade-off between length and signal quality should be weighed against the operational context.

The connector type is reverse SMA female, compatible with the majority of Baofeng UV-5R and UV-82 series radios, as well as many models from other manufacturers including Quansheng, Anytone, Wouxun, Alinco and Yaesu. Before purchasing, confirm the connector type fitted to your radio: the SMA male variant (opposite polarity) is found on some Puxing radios and is not compatible without an adapter.
