Aim-O M2 Open Red Dot with Cantilever Mount — Desert

The Aim-O M2 is an open-style red dot in the M2 format, built from aluminium and supplied complete with a cantilever mount for 20 mm Picatinny/Weaver rails. The body measures 130 mm in length and weighs approximately 300 g including the mount, making it a ready-to-run solution for semi-automatic rifles and carbines — no separate mount purchase required.

The reticle switches between red and green, each with 2 brightness levels: the green option is useful in low-light conditions or against dark backgrounds where red can wash out in heat haze. Two brightness steps mean fast adjustment but less granularity than multi-level models — a reasonable trade-off at close engagement distances, where rapid target acquisition matters more than fine-tuning. The 30 mm diameter window provides a wide field of view and forgiving eye alignment even from unconventional shooting positions.

The cantilever mount shifts the optic forward relative to the clamping rail, lowering the optical axis closer to the bore: the result is a more natural cheek weld on most AR-pattern carbines and similar platforms. Windage and elevation adjustments allow zeroing on target; optical surfaces have anti-reflection and scratch-resistant coatings. Power comes from 2 LR44 batteries, not included.
