Aim-O EG1 Open Red Dot — Black

The Aim-O EG1 is an open-window red dot sight designed for fast target acquisition at close and medium range. Its aluminium body and direct mount on a 20 mm Picatinny/Weaver rail make it compatible with most modern platforms, from dynamic shooting to tactical use.

The fixed 1x magnification delivers a natural, undistorted field of view: both eyes stay open, and the red dot overlays the target with no exit pupil restriction. Reticle brightness is adjustable to suit changing ambient light conditions, from dim indoor environments to direct sunlight, keeping the dot clearly visible without washing out peripheral vision. The open-window design maximises acquisition speed, but unlike a closed red dot it does not offer full lens protection in heavy rain or immersion — this is the inherent trade-off of this category, offset by the wider field of view and reduced bulk.

The aluminium body absorbs impacts through the geometry of the housing, reducing stress transmitted to the lenses during recoil or accidental knocks. Power comes from a single CR2032 battery, widely available and replaceable in the field without tools.
