The Aim-O SE 1-4x24 is an LPVO with a 30 mm tube and an overall length of 263 mm, designed for dynamic shooting and tactical use at short to medium ranges. At minimum magnification it can be used with both eyes open like a red dot; at maximum it allows precise work out to the distances typical of silhouette and precision target shooting.
The 1-4x configuration with a 24 mm objective represents the classic trade-off of competition and light-duty LPVOs: the compact objective keeps the weight at 490 g and the profile low, making the setup well-balanced on AR carbines and similar platforms, but light transmission is lower than with 28 or 32 mm objectives, which becomes noticeable in low-light conditions at 4x. Shooters who work mainly in well-lit environments or at distances within 100 m will not find this a practical limitation.
The illuminated reticle, powered by a single CR2032 battery, allows fast target acquisition against dark backgrounds without losing reticle clarity. The illumination should be switched off when not needed to preserve battery life; the battery is not included.
Key points
- Magnification 1-4x: transitions from a wide field of view at low power to medium-range precision without swapping optics.
- 30 mm tube: compatible with the vast majority of tactical mounts and rings available on the market.
- Weight 490 g, length 263 mm: a compact, balanced package that keeps the front end of the weapon light.
- Illuminated reticle with CR2032 battery: fast acquisition in difficult lighting without sacrificing daytime readability.
- 24 mm objective: compact profile well suited for use with backup iron sights and on rifles with raised sight lines.
